We want to teach more than wrestling skills. If they leave with just single legs and double legs, we haven't done our job. We want to put them on a path that they can be a better husband, father and employee. We want them to look back at UNI with positive memories of how it shaped them. The people make UNI special. Professors, coaches and administrators are invested. They truly care about the student-athletes and want to make sure they are prepared for life beyond their competition. We want them to become selfless teammates who feel connected to UNI. We are trying to find that balance of being a grateful competitor who builds up those around them and wants to give back.
