About

College of Social & Behavioral Sciences

Offering a wide array of programs that explore how individuals, societies and cultures contribute to human development.

Faculty, students and alumni within the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences strive to use their knowledge to understand human nature, improve society and enrich people’s lives.

A focus on hands-on learning opportunities through research, internships, field placement and study abroad helps ensure our students are well prepared for success after graduation.

Dean's Fund for Excellence

The gift you make today, no matter the size, will go to work immediately to strengthen every area of CSBS, providing students with the best possible experience and preparing them for a lifetime of success.

When we meet a young person who would flourish here, we want them to enjoy opportunities that could set them on a life-changing path. Scholarships and need-based aid help us ensure that future Panthers benefit from a diverse, immersive experience that encourages them to grow, learn, lead and serve others.

Your Dean’s Fund gift will help ensure CSBS students have access to internships and hands-on learning that help them build their resumes and home in on their future career paths. Thanks to you, our students continue to interact with leaders in their respective fields and make a difference in our community long before they graduate. Just one example is our gerontology program, where students are working with seniors in many of our region’s care  facilities, improving the residents’ quality of life while learning valuable skills.

You also provide resources and professional development for our energetic, talented faculty, whose teaching and experience are matched only by their enthusiasm. These incredible educators are there for every “aha!” moment that turns a course or assignment into a lifelong passion, opening doors of learning over and over again for our students.

The Panther family and the work we do here in CSBS are so important. Your financial contributions, as well as your gifts of time and expertise, allow us to provide the best possible experiences and mentoring for our students.
