UNI students have access to hands-on research, internships and study abroad opportunities through their college’s dean’s fund. In addition, they travel to conferences, earn professional certifications and expand their knowledge through professional development.

None of this happens without the support of the Deans' Funds for Excellence. Your support of these funds give each college the ability to respond to rapidly changing industry trends and provide opportunities that set a UNI education apart.

• Wilson College of Business: Each year, donors such as yourself support certification classes, international studies in more than 50 countries, academic competitions, site visits, and many other high-impact, career-specific learning experiences. Your gift ensures business graduates are #readyforbusiness and so much more!
• College of Education: Gifts to the Dean’s Fund for Excellence allows students to receive an exceptional education and enhance the programs that sets UNI apart. These gifts support student scholarships and financial aid, research opportunities and conference and travel support for both students and faculty. Support the Dean’s Fund for Excellence or a specific department fund today!
• College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences Dean's Fund For Excellence - Arts: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence enhance student opportunities and programs in the College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences. These gifts enable students to attend and present at regional and national conferences, study abroad and engage in community outreach through the arts. Additionally, your gift supports faculty development aimed at improving the overall student experience.
• College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences Dean's Fund For Excellence - Sciences: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence enhance student opportunities and programs in the College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences. Your support funds valuable opportunities, including student travel to professional conferences for presenting research results, the purchase of the latest industry-standard software and stipends for undergraduate research associates collaborating with UNI faculty
• College of Social & Behavioral Sciences: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence support opportunities where funding from other sources is either limited or non-existent. This includes scholarships, study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research, travel to conferences for both students and faculty, and professional development for faculty.
• College of Graduate, Research and Online Education: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence help foster camaraderie among students through writing groups and other professional opportunities along with providing scholarships and other necessary funds to enhance graduate education for years to come.
