Gifts to Panther Completion Grant contribute to...
What if $500 could be the difference between a student graduating or dropping out? For many UNI students, that's the reality. Balancing bills, rent, food, and tuition often leads to overdue U-Bills, preventing class registration and graduation—especially for low-income and first-generation students without financial safety nets.
A recent analysis found 136 juniors and seniors with past-due balances of $7 to $999, which blocks registration. Nationally, students who don’t register on time drop out at higher rates, and those who leave for even a semester have only a 30% chance of returning.
The Panther Completion Grant, created by UNI’s Office of Student Success & Retention and the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, provides one-time financial aid to help students overcome these barriers and stay on track to graduate.
By donating, you can help increase completion rates and keep students on the path to success.
