About

UNI Women's Soccer Locker Room Renovation

The University of Northern Iowa Women's Soccer program returned "home" last fall as they debuted their new competition facility west of the UNI-Dome on campus after competing at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex since 2005. The next home improvement project for the Panthers is a complete overhaul of their locker room space.

Why give?

A first-class locker room is vital to the success of the soccer program. The student-athletes spend a significant amount of time in the locker room. It's important for the team to have their very own space for the first time. The locker room, on the first floor of the Wellness and Recreation Center, is right across the hall from the weight room and within close proximity of the weight room, coaches offices and academic center. The locker room will be a one-stop place for the team to hang out, be convenient for daily use, and provide a powerful recruiting tool for future Panther Women's Soccer players.

We are so excited to be back on campus with the new UNI Soccer Field which debuted last fall and a renovation of our locker room is the next piece towards having the best facilities in the Missouri Valley Conference. A first-class locker room facility is not only vitally important for our current student-athletes but also a major recruiting tool as well. - Head Coach Bruce Erickson

Paul and Kim Russo Matching Challenge

Paul and Kim Russo, parents of sophomore goalkeeper Chloe Russo, have generously committed to match the first $10,000 towards the UNI Women's Soccer Locker Room Renovation. The Russos are excited to be part of building the future for the UNI Women's Soccer program and know how important a first-class locker room is to the success of the program.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Panther Nation! Thank you!

Our PAWprint crowdfunding campaign has been successfully funded! Thank you UNI Women's Soccer parents, alumni and friends! Your support is incredible! Because of you, we will be able to renovate our locker room space, add branded windscreens and some additional amenities at our on-campus competition facility!

The locker room will be a great addition for the program. It will enhance team bonding and relationship building. It is in a great location next to the equipment room, weight room, coaches offices and the academic learning center. It will provide a one-stop space where they can hang out in the lounge, do home work or spend time between classes.

The windscreens and additional amenities will enhance the visual appeal of our competition facility heading into year two.

The program is excited for the future as they continue to build a championship culture the student-athletes, coaches, alumni, parents and friends of the program can be proud of!

Head Coach Bruce Erickson provides an update on where things stand after week one of the program's PAWprint crowdfunding campaign.

Panther Nation! You are the best! In just one week we've hit our $20,000 goal to support our locker room renovation. Thank you for your generous support!

Let's keep the momentum going! We are announcing a stretch goal to raise an additional $10,000 to provide UNI soccer branded windscreens for our competition facility!

The image below shows the competition facility during our first season back on campus last fall. The bottom image is a rendering of what the facility would look like with the windscreens funded.

These windscreens will expand our profile on campus while continuing to make a championship facility our alumni, fans and supporters can be proud of.

Thanks again for your generous support of our UNI Women's Soccer program! Go Panthers! ๐Ÿ˜ธ
