About Recreation Services
Recreation Services provides the UNI community with a comprehensive fitness and recreation program. The variety of offerings include: adventure outings, certifications, group fitness, informal recreation, intramurals, outdoor gear rental, personal training, sport clubs, swim lessons and the WRC Panther Youth Camp.
The Wellness and Recreation Fund allows the department to support students with their fitness and recreation journey. The fund is used to support student scholarships, purchase new equipment and upgrade facilities. Recent initiatives include: purchasing adaptive equipment for participants in outdoor recreation and in the fitness area. The fund has also been used to support facility upgrades for our Sport Clubs.
Why Support Recreation Services?
During the academic year, approximately 1,000 students are using the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC) each day. We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the WRC by raising funds to support equipment purchases and facility upgrades.
With your help, Recreation Services can continue to provide quality equipment and a safe environment for students to pursue their fitness and recreation goals. Please make a gift to support the ongoing needs of the Wellness and Recreation Center.
