About

The Orchesis Dance Company is a pre-professional dance company and student organization that focuses on training dancers in various academic modern dance techniques. They perform many styles of dance from jazz, hip-hop, tap, contemporary and more. Many opportunities are available to students beyond dance including choreographic artistic works, outside performances and student leadership positions.

Orchesis participates in three mandatory performances a year which include their Fall Show, Men’s Varsity Glee Club Christmas Variety Show and their Annual Gala. There are additional performance opportunities throughout the academic year as well. Your support on Live Purple Give Gold plays a crucial role through witnessing and experiencing performance dance to the local community. Funds raised will help support the Annual Gala as well as make an impact on their upcoming centennial performance and celebration in 2026.
