Annual Fund
Every gift makes a difference at the University of Northern Iowa. Giving any amount to the UNI Annual Fund, UNI’s unrestricted fund, helps support the most immediate needs of the university.
The UNI Annual Fund is essential to advancing the university’s educational mission, as gifts are utilized in countless ways to build and sustain the experience of students at UNI. You are invited to make a difference at the University of Northern Iowa by giving to the UNI Annual Fund.
Deans' Funds for Excellence
Students in UNI's four colleges — the College of Business Administration, College of Education, College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences and the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences — engage in undergraduate research, internships and study abroad. They travel to conferences and earn professional certifications. Faculty expand their knowledge and skills through professional development.
None of this happens without the support of the Deans' Funds for Excellence. Your support of these funds give each college the ability to respond to changing industry needs and provide opportunities that set a UNI education apart.
Give to support work happening in each college.
- College of Business: Each year, donors such as yourself support certification classes, international studies in more than 50 countries, academic competitions, site visits, and many other high-impact, career-specific learning experiences. Your gift ensures business graduates are #readyforbusiness and so much more!
- College of Education: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence allow students to receive an exceptional education and improve our programs by providing opportunities such as scholarships and financial aid assistance for students, research opportunities for students and faculty, and conference and travel opportunities for students and faculty. Support the Dean's Fund for Excellence or a specific department initiative today!
- College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences Dean's Fund For Excellence - Arts: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence are used to enhance student opportunities and programs. It provides UNI students opportunities to: Attend and present at regional/national conferences, study abroad and engage in community outreach through the arts, as well as provide support for faculty development targeted at improving the student experience.
- College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences Dean's Fund For Excellence - Sciences: Gifts to the Dean's Fund help enhance student opportunities and programs. Your support funds opportunities such as student travel to professional conferences to present their summer research results, stipends for undergraduate research associates working with UNI faculty, support for faculty to develop online courses, and purchase of the latest industry current software.
- College of Social & Behavioral Sciences: Gifts to the Dean's Fund for Excellence support opportunities where funding from other sources is either limited or non-existent. This includes: scholarships, study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research, travel to conferences for students and faculty, and professional development for faculty.

$40,000 goal has been met and passed! Thank you to everyone who has contributed their gifts and shared their UNI story. Your stories are inspiring and your gifts will be transformational for current and future UNI students.
The final push for the night will come from our Panther Engagement Center (PEC) student employees. A group of dedicated UNI students who speak with alumni, parents and friends of UNI every night. PEC students gain a lot by speaking with people like you and appreciate the opportunity to better UNI through their efforts.
The final stretch goal for #UNIGivingTuesday will be $50,000.
We hope to finish the night out strong with the efforts from our PEC students. Help them out by sharing the campaign page to your social network.
Thankful for your support!
