Support the North American Review at UNI

Founded in Boston in 1815, the North American Review is the oldest and one of the most culturally significant literary magazines in the United States. Contributors include important American writers and thinkers such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Frederick Douglass, William Carlos Williams, John Steinbeck, and Flannery O’Connor.

Housed at the University of Northern Iowa since 1968, students today get the real-world experience of working with editors to learn copyediting, online and print layout, and other professional skills. Students also get opportunities to travel to events and network with others in the literary field.
